The Matrice 5T is aimed at teams that need to capture situational imagery, thermal data and measurements around the clock with a compact system – even in rain, dust and darkness. A camera system for day and night
The stabilised 3-axis gimbal combines three 50 MP cameras, a thermal camera with native 1K resolution, a laser rangefinder and an NIR auxiliary light. Thermal and visible images can be fused on the remote controller, and up to three views are shown simultaneously in split screen.
Wide-angle camera
1/0.98-inch sensor, 50 MP, f/1.8 aperture. With AI low-light enhancement and ISO up to 1.6 million, full-colour images down to 0.01 lux.
Medium tele camera
1/1.28-inch, 50 MP, 3× optical zoom. Detects pins and cracks on power lines and bridges from around 10 m away.
Tele camera
1/1.5-inch, 50 MP, 11× optical and 176× hybrid zoom. Reads licence plates from up to 400 m, monochrome night vision from 11× zoom.
Thermal camera
1280 × 1024 pixels native, 2560 × 2048 in UHR mode, sensitivity ≤ 50 mK, temperature measurement from −20 to 550 °C.
Laser rangefinder
Range up to 3000 m for point, line and area measurement – for example to mark assets or measure fire perimeters.
NIR auxiliary light
Infrared illumination with an effective range of up to 100 m complements the tele camera’s monochrome night vision.

Detecting power lines – even at night
The rotating LiDAR detects power lines up to 32 m away, while the radar keeps working in fog, rain and dust. With weak GNSS, the drone positions itself using visual and radar data.

Protected against dust and water jets, ready to take off around 10 seconds after power-on and quickly on scene at up to 23 m/s.

Detecting targets, planning routes
More than 20 target types such as vehicles, vessels and fires are detected on board. AI patrol routes are generated from a marked area, and custom models are supported.

Who is the DJI Matrice 5T suitable for?

What is the difference between the Matrice 5T and the Matrice 4T?
The Matrice 5T has a thermal camera with native 1K resolution instead of 640 × 512 pixels, larger image sensors, additional LiDAR and mmWave radar, an IP55 rating and up to 59 minutes of flight time. Matrice 4 Series accessories are not compatible.
Which EU classes does the DJI Matrice 5T hold?
According to DJI, the Matrice 5T is certified to EASA C2 and C6. A separate C5 version is required for C5 operations. We advise you on the operating category and authorisation from the FOCA.
Can the Matrice 5T fly in the rain?
Yes. It is IP55-rated against dust and water jets and operates from −20 to 50 °C. DJI advises against flying in rain heavier than 100 mm in 24 hours.
What transmission range can I expect in Switzerland?
Under the CE standard, up to 20 km without obstacles or interference; the frequently quoted 40 km applies to the FCC/IC standard. Relay operation and the built-in 4G dongles keep the link stable even in difficult terrain.
