  • For construction, agriculture and public safety
  • With 2D mapping, 3D models, LiDAR and PPK
  • Compatible with Matrice 400, Matrice 350 RTK, Matrice 4E, Mavic 3 Enterprise and more
MISSION PROFILES

What workflows is DJI Terra designed for?

DJI Terra is suited to organisations that want to turn drone data quickly and precisely into usable geodata products – from mission planning in the field to the finished 3D reconstruction in the office. The software is particularly strong where an end-to-end workflow from the DJI device to the final product without media breaks is required.

CONFIGURATIONS

Typical workflows with DJI Terra

The strength of DJI Terra lies in its seamless integration with DJI hardware and its flexibility for different data types and output formats. We configure DJI Terra to suit your projects and your operational needs.

Terra + Zenmuse L3 for LiDAR processing
For point cloud reconstruction, DEM generation and 3D models from Zenmuse L3 data – without an additional licence, ready to process directly after login.
Terra + Zenmuse P1 for precision surveying
For orthomosaics and 3D models with 3 cm GSD and centimetre-accurate RTK georeferencing for cadastral, topographic and construction projects.
Terra + Matrice 4E for Smart 3D Capture
For fully automated 3D capture of buildings and structures with Smart Oblique Capture and direct PPK processing without a network connection.
Terra Cluster for large datasets
For urban areas, energy corridors and large-scale projects with distributed processing across multiple computers – up to 30’000 images in 21 hours.
PLATFORM BENEFITS

Why DJI Terra excels in professional drone workflows

DJI Terra is the only processing software that works seamlessly with the entire DJI Enterprise ecosystem – from mission planning to the finished geodata product, without interface problems or additional licence costs for standard tools.

INTEGRATION
Seamless connection with DJI drones, payloads and FlightHub 2 without compatibility issues or interface effort
RECONSTRUCTION
3D Gaussian Splatting and classic photogrammetry for photorealistic models – around twice as fast as previous methods
LIDAR
Complete Zenmuse L3 processing without an additional licence: point clouds, DEM, 2D map and 3D model in one click
ACCURACY
RTK and PPK support for centimetre-accurate results at a scale of 1:500 – even without ground control points
REAL TIME
Real-Time Mapping for instant orthomosaics during flight for direct quality control on site
SCALABLE
Cluster mode for distributed processing of large datasets across multiple computers without additional licence costs (from v5.1)
FAQ

Frequently asked questions about DJI Terra

Here we answer the most important questions about licence models, compatibility, system requirements and introducing DJI Terra in your organisation.

Which licence versions are available for DJI Terra?
DJI Terra is available in Standard, Flagship and Cluster versions – as an annual or perpetual licence, each also as an offline variant for operation without an internet connection. The Flagship version includes advanced LiDAR and mapping functions. The Cluster edition enables distributed processing across multiple computers. From Terra v5.1, LiDAR reconstruction for the Zenmuse L3 can be used free of charge without an additional licence.
Which drones and payloads is DJI Terra compatible with?
DJI Terra supports the Matrice 400, Matrice 350 RTK, Matrice 300 RTK, Matrice 4E, Mavic 3 Enterprise, Mavic 3 Multispectral as well as the Zenmuse LiDAR payloads L1, L2 and L3 and photogrammetry payloads such as the Zenmuse P1.
What are the system requirements for DJI Terra?
DJI Terra runs on Windows 10/11 (64-bit). At least 32 GB RAM and an NVIDIA graphics card with 4 GB VRAM and compute capability 6.1 or higher are recommended. For Zenmuse L3 LiDAR processing, 64 GB RAM and an RTX 3080 or better are recommended.
Does trenderia also support demos, training and roll-out?
Yes. We support you from licence selection and live demo through setup to training, commissioning and support – for smooth operation in your organisation.
What is 3D Gaussian Splatting and what is it used for?
3D Gaussian Splatting is a new reconstruction technology in DJI Terra v5.0 that creates photorealistic 3D models from drone images – particularly reliable for reflective surfaces, vegetation and fine structures. Processing speed is around twice as fast as with classic mesh methods.
