System integration – incorporating drones into your existing workflows

A drone delivers its full value in combination with sensors, software and the people who work with the results. We help you align these building blocks with your tasks and existing processes.

From flight to usable results

Successful integration starts with the result: what information do your specialists need and how should it feed into the existing workflow? Only then are the flight platform, sensors and analysis software selected.

Together with you, we look at the entire processing chain – from data capture in the field and processing through to handover to the responsible department. Existing systems, responsibilities and data storage requirements are factored into the planning.

The building blocks of your solution

  • Flight platform and sensors: Select the system, payload and accessories based on the task and check compatibility.
  • Software and data: Define the required processing steps, output formats and recipients of the results.
  • IT and access: Coordinate network requirements, user roles and storage requirements with your IT department.
  • Workflows: Define handovers between the pilot team, specialist department and external parties.
  • Introduction: Plan testing, documentation, training and support to match the scope.

Typical integration tasks

In surveying, for example, it is about getting from capture to data that can be analysed for further planning. For inspections, images and findings must be assigned to the right assets and responsible specialists. In distributed organisations, shared operational workflows and the provision of information are often the priority.

Depending on the project, we evaluate suitable building blocks such as DJI Terra for data processing or DJI FlightHub 2 for the intended operational workflow. The specific functional scope is agreed in advance.

Check interfaces before implementation

Whether a file export is sufficient or a technical interface is required depends on your target systems. We review available formats, access rights, licences and manufacturer approvals together with your IT department and, where necessary, other specialist partners.

Custom connections are only agreed in terms of feasibility, effort and responsibility after this assessment. This results in a transparent integration scope with clear handover points.

Into operation in four steps

  1. Gather requirements: Record the task, current systems, data recipients and desired results.
  2. Define the solution: Agree components, data paths and responsibilities.
  3. Run a pilot project: Test the processing chain using a realistic task and resolve open points.
  4. Introduce and support: Brief the team, document processes and organise ongoing support.

We also provide support with Consulting and system design, Training and know-how and Support and after-sales.
