Rent drones instead of buying
We support companies, public authorities and organisations from the initial requirement to operational deployment – with professional DJI Enterprise solutions for planning, operation and scaling.
Acquire professional drone systems flexibly
Not every organisation wants to buy professional drone technology outright and incur high investment costs immediately. The rental model offers a flexible alternative for companies, public authorities and organisations that want to use modern DJI Enterprise systems without tying up capital unnecessarily. This keeps budgets predictable, technological options open and makes getting started with professional drone operations easier.
With a rental model, companies gain access to modern DJI Enterprise technology without incurring high upfront investment straight away. This creates financial flexibility, makes getting started easier and keeps technological options open.
What challenges does the rental model solve?
The smart alternative to buying outright
Not every organisation wants to buy professional drone technology outright. Particularly when budgets need to be protected, projects launched more quickly or options kept open for technical developments, renting is an attractive alternative. Hardware, software and supplementary services can be combined according to need and costed accurately.
How the rental process works
The rental process runs from the needs analysis through review by the rental partner to delivery. Term, contract start, return and any purchase option are set out in the quote and contract.
Consulting and needs analysis
Together, the right drone solution is defined – including hardware, software and possible service packages.
Individual quote
The desired term, scope of services and possible options at the end of the contract are agreed. The rental partner reviews the application and prepares an individual quote; processing time and acceptance depend on the required documents and the review.
Delivery and deployment
Delivery is arranged once the contract has been concluded and the agreed conditions have been met. Delivery date, software, maintenance and support with permits are recorded in the quote. Flight operations require the necessary permits.
Flexible contract terms
Return, extension, system change or purchase are only possible within the agreed contractual options. Any purchase price and the conditions are set with the rental partner.
Sample calculations: rental instalments and purchase price
The following figures illustrate a comparison of 24 monthly instalments with a purchase price. They are not confirmed rental offers. Whether the sets shown meet the rental partner’s minimum amounts and acceptance criteria must be checked before a quote is issued. Total cost savings cannot be derived from the payment comparison alone.
Example 1: DJI Matrice 4 Thermal incl. batteries & maintenance
Term: 24 months
Sample monthly instalment: CHF 170.30
Total of 24 monthly instalments: CHF 4’087.20
Stated purchase price: CHF 7’532.00
Arithmetical difference from the purchase price: CHF 3’444.80
Sample set: 1× Matrice 4 Thermal, 3× Matrice Series Battery, 1× service package: Managed Maintenance Standard
Note on the comparison: The amounts stated are existing sample values and not a binding offer. The total of instalments does not include a separate purchase price. When buying, the system remains the property of the buyer; when renting, return or purchase is governed by the contract. A total cost comparison must take into account an identical scope of services, VAT, insurance, additional fees as well as residual value and purchase costs. These items are not fully shown in the example and must be clarified in the quote.

Example 2: DJI Dock 2 & Matrice 3TD, incl. batteries, maintenance & permit

Term: 24 months
Sample monthly instalment: CHF 1’524.75
Total of 24 monthly instalments: CHF 36’594.00
Stated purchase price: CHF 49’502.00
Arithmetical difference from the purchase price: CHF 12’908.00
Sample set: 1× Matrice 3TD, 1× Dock 2, 1× Matrice 3D Series battery, 1× service package: Managed Maintenance Standard, 1× DH Cloud Setup, 2× DH Cloud annual licence, 2× DH Dock Slot 1-4 devices, 1× Digisky BVLOS SAIL 1&II operational authorisation 24M
Important points about the rental model
- The figures shown are purely illustrative calculations. They confirm neither the availability of a rental offer for these sets nor that the rental partner’s acceptance criteria are met. Binding instalments and conditions are set out in the individual quote.
- trenderia supports you with system selection and procurement and acts as supplier and intermediary. The rental partner is the lessor and financier. The specific allocation of roles is set out in the contract documents.
- The rental or leasing agreement is concluded between you as lessee and the rental partner as lessor.
- Contact and enquiry data may be processed by trenderia for consulting and preparing a quote. This is distinct from documents for the credit check and contract processing by the rental partner. Which data is required, passed on and processed by whom must be clarified before transmission, based on the specific process and the privacy notices.
- The rental agreement is subject in particular to a positive credit check.
- The lessors’ rental offer is subject to change.
- All other services are provided by the supplier and/or its service partners.
- The offer applies only to DJI Enterprise items. Third-party products and other manufacturers are not possible.
- The offer is aimed primarily at customers in Switzerland who use their drones in Switzerland
- Insurance: insurance of the drone is not part of the lease. As with a vehicle lease, the customer arranges adequate insurance themselves and is responsible for the careful handling of the hardware provided. Risks arising from flight operations and liability insurance also lie with the drone operator. The lessor is the owner of the goods.
- The minimum contract value and eligible customer groups depend on the rental partner’s current conditions. These requirements must be confirmed for the selected system before a quote is issued.
