The DJI Zenmuse S1 is the first spotlight from DJI specifically developed for multi-payload drone platforms. The powerful illumination supports nighttime operations in public safety, emergency rescue and inspections.

Functions and benefits

The Zenmuse S1 uses LEP technology (Laser Excited Phosphor) for intense, focused illumination over long distances. It was designed for professional nighttime operations and offers four lighting modes for different operational scenarios.

In Low Beam mode, the Zenmuse S1 produces a 15°-wide field of view with a range of up to 150 meters. High Beam mode reduces the field of view to 4° and increases the range to 300 meters. In Dual Beam mode, both light beams are combined to achieve maximum illumination of up to 500 meters. Strobe mode increases visibility in emergencies through high-frequency flashing.

For safety and longevity, the Zenmuse S1 features protection mechanisms against overcurrent and overheating, as well as voltage monitoring. The housing remains below 50 °C to minimize the risk of burns. As soon as the drone is on the ground, the light automatically dims to 40 % of maximum brightness. This protects the eyes of ground personnel and the pilot.

With a weight of 0,76 kilograms, the Zenmuse S1 can be mounted on various gimbal ports of the DJI Matrice series. Support for the DJI Mobile SDK enables integration into customized control systems and operational workflows.
