Class marking in focus

The class designation at DJI-drones
The class designation at DJI-Drones refers to the classification of drones according to the regulations of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). EASA has introduced various classes for drones to ensure the regulation and safe operation of drones in Europe.
The class designation consists of four categories: C0, C1, C2 and C3. Each class has different requirements for the drone and its operation.
Class C0 drones
This class includes drones weighing less than 250 grams. They are considered "toy drones" and are subject to less stringent regulations. They are allowed to fly near people and buildings as long as they do not pose a danger.
Class C1 drones
This class includes drones weighing between 250 and 900 grams. They are subject to stricter regulations than CO drones, but are still allowed to fly near people as long as certain safety precautions are observed.
Class C2 drones
This class includes drones weighing between 900 grams and 4 kilograms. They are subject to stricter regulations than C1 drones and are not permitted to fly near people. They require special approval and a pilot's license.
Class C3 drones
This class includes drones weighing more than 4 kilograms. They are subject to the strictest regulations and require special approval and a pilot's license. They are not allowed to fly near people and require a comprehensive risk assessment.
Classification is important to ensure the safe operation of drones and to minimize risks to people and property.
